Meet your DGC Board of Directors!

In November 2021, DGC added three new directors to fill three open spaces. In accordance with our bylaws, since the number of candidates did not exceed the open seats, an election was not required.

Meet the new directors:

Erin Eaton

Hi Delridge Neighbors!

Erin Eaton here, my family and I moved to Delridge and Brandon mid Covid & have been in West Seattle for 3 years since relocating from NYC. I am excited about the opportunity to volunteer and serve on the board. We love our neighborhood and look forward to growing the co-op to be a full time market, accessible to all of our neighbors.

I have worked in the Natural Products Industry my entire career in many different roles from Sales Rep to Direct of Sales, with brands like Gaia Herbs, Vega, Andalou (Mineral Fusion), and Moon Valley Organics. I also worked on the Whole Foods Corporate team and in stores from 1998-2009 pre-Amazon – years of retail experience.

My family is composed of my husband, an architect with NBBJ, our 6 year-old son who is a student at STEM, our 1 year-old toy Australian Shepherd and a few reptiles.

Some of my hobbies include camping, backpacking, skiing, sewing, reading and PTA!

I am passionate about sustainable living, food equity, social justice and equal rights.

Kindly,

Erin

Diane Holmes

From the first time I stepped into the store to paint walls to last week, working the register with a line of people waiting to purchase food right there in the neighborhood, it has been an honor to help out at the Delridge Food Co-op and I hope that you will allow me to further my service as a member of the board.

In 1999, I showed up on whim in Seattle with one suitcase. That divergence in my plans became a 21 year commitment to the Pacific Northwest, from the Cascade neighborhood downtown, up to Bellingham, and now 7 years in the Roxbury neighborhood just up the hill. Working in South Park for a large local non-profit, doing volunteer and advocacy work at West Seattle Elementary and Louisa Boren STEM schools, and taking my daughter to the gym here on Delridge, helped me find the Co-op and I have been volunteering whenever I can. I was immediately drawn to the mission and the dedicated people working to create a great source of food and community, with each step, I see folx consciously working to look through the lens of equity and inclusion. To create a space that nurtures and serves the diverse needs of the neighborhood.

I have been a certified Human Resources and administrative professional for over 15 years with the last 7 years actively working to better understand systematic issues of privilege, racism, and working to lessen the lack of basic resources for so much of our community. I am willing to learn more and provide whatever I can to make the Co-op a sustainable and thriving community resource. Thank you everyone for your time and commitment and your consideration.

Kevin Rivers

I moved to Seattle in 2011 and to the Delridge area of West Seattle in 2020. I believe everyone should be able to have convenient access to healthy and affordable food. As a more recent resident, I recognized that I have a direct impact on that access and potential exclusionary investment in this neighborhood. When I saw Delridge Grocery Co-Op, I got excited and wanted to lend my time and abilities to assist any way I could. I’ve spent my working hours in technology at a variety of companies over the years. Technology is helpful but it can also be exclusionary. I want to lend my experience in technology to provide tangible and accessible benefits for the community and the mission of DGC. I spend my free time with my partner, Alissa, and our two cats Moss and Peat.

Seth McOmber
President
Hi, I’m Seth. We’ve called Seattle home for fourteen years, after relocating from Northern California, where we were heavily involved in a food co-op in Davis. I’m passionate about community-owned and controlled food systems! Proud husband to a Coast Guard wife, and delighted caretaker of four lovely chickens and two ridiculous cats.
