Recipe Starters

This week’s DGC Essentials Box is built to help you beat the heat with salads over the next few record-setting head-domed days.

Here’s a Sicilian-based salad that will go great with just about anything you can put on the grill (so you can keep the heat off in the kitchen). It balances the anise flavor of the fennel with sweet oranges and salty olives.
If you are out at the grill, try putting the Romaine on the barbie and topping it with a balsamic and gorgonzola dressing (Food Network).
